John Krasinski debuts film tonight in Boston

The Office Jim - Brief Interviews With Hideous Men

John Krasinski, the Newton raised actor best known for his role as Jim on The Office, is making his directorial debut in the new film, Brief Interviews With Hideous Men. Krasinski will be in town tonight for a showing of the film at Kendall Square Cinema in Cambridge, after which he’ll do a Q & A with the audience.

The first showing, which is followed by the Q & A, is already sold out. However, several other show times tonight still have seating available. To get tickets, head over to the Kendall Square Cinema’s website.

If you don’t want to pay for tickets, Boston.com is giving some away on their Love Letters Blog. Just write them a paragraph describing why you deserve the tickets by 11:00 AM, and you can win tickets for a 9:30 PM screening, along with a copy of the book on which the movie is based.

The blog will also feature a live chat with Krasinski today at noon, where they’ll presumably discuss the film, so perhaps it’ll give you an idea as to whether on not its your kind of film.

And if you’re pressed for time tonight, don’t worry, the film only clocks in at 72 minutes.
