Boston Mom Calls 911 on Son’s Video Game Habit

An area mother called 911 this past weekend because her 14-year-old son was playing video games into the middle of the night, refusing to fall asleep.

Police say that the call came in at 2:30 Am Saturday, with the mother also complaining that her son was walking through the house and turning on all the lights.

Police actually responded to the call, showing up at their doorstep  to talk some sense into the boy and send him straight to bed.

Apparently the game he was playing was Grand Theft Auto, an M-rated game (think R-rated film) which is not to be sold to minors due to its content. How the child got a copy of the game is unclear, but he probably shouldn’t be playing it, especially without his parent’s consent.

Perhaps next time the mother should just take the game away rather than call up the cops for a pep talk.  It would be a bit more effective than sending him to his room and asking that he fall asleep right next to it.

  1. It is time to go back in time mom, time to take away the game and say get outside and play,go blow the stink off of yourself, whatever your folks told you to get you out the door. Fresh air and playing (using your imagination, not some stupid machine) does wonders for a kid.

P.S, Hey mom! your the mom, grow a backbone and TELL him to hit the sack.
